Places We Went

DAY 1

Cameron Valley Tea House Tanah Rata | 930AM

Cameron Valley Tea House at Tanah Rata was our first destination in Cameron Highland. After we arrived, we recently discovered that Tanah Rata has two tea houses, both with decks overlooking the valley. We each bought a cup of tea at the café and went straight to the deck. Since the weather was really nice (cold and breezy), we took many pictures while enjoying the breathtaking view. Before we leave, we stop by the tea shop at the tea house to buy their various tea blends.

Big Red Strawberry Farm | 1130AM

Next destination, we went to the Big Red Strawberry Farm located at Brinchang to pick some strawberries. Apparently, the strawberries are not in season and we can only buy the pre-packed strawberries. It was worth visiting since it is free admission. They have a variety of fresh veggies, strawberries and cactus selling there. Aqila and Amira bought a few cactus since they are plant lovers. Before leaving, we tried their strawberry ice-cream and smoothies. Although it was quite expensive, but it was really tasty!

Taman Agroteknologi MARDI Cameron Highland | 1400PM

Our last destination before we checked-in to our guesthouse was Taman Agroteknologi MARDI which is located in Tanah Rata. The admission fee for an adult is RM5 while for a student is RM2. With an area of 42 hectares, the park has a research center building, information center, herb garden, orchid garden, rose garden and English garden. We walk around the park while taking a lot of pictures.

Father’s Guesthouse | 1500PM

After we visit Taman Agroteknologi MARDI, it is time for us to check in at Father’s Guesthouse. It tooks 4 minutes to arrive from the last visit. The check in was smooth and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great, close to the main road, yet in a quiet spot at the edge of town. The room was comfortable and clean. We also spot several outdoor sitting places, free wifi and coffee, tea, hot water are unlimited at the ground floor pantry.

DAY 2

Pasar Pagi Kea Farm | 0800AM

Since Pasar Tani Ahad Brinchang only operates on Sunday, we decided to go to Pasar Pagi Kea Farm. It is located 4.3km from Brinchang town and takes 16 minutes driving from our guesthouse. This Cameron Highlands Pasar Pagi Kea Farm is a shopping place and almost all local products can be found here. What is interesting here is the fresh fruits and vegetables. The price is also cheaper. We all bought some corn, sweet potato and souvenirs to bring back home.

BOH Tea Plantation Sungei Palas | 0945AM

Next, we went to the home of Malaysia’s largest tea producer which is BOH Tea Plantation. This place is one of the MUST visit places when you come to Cameron Highland. The weather and the view was really amazing but the cafe was a bit crowded so we decided to just take some beautiful panoramic photos.

Ee Feng Gu Bee Farm | 1100AM

Before lunch, we stopped by at Ee Feng Gu Bee Farm because Karmila wanted to buy a honey jar for her mother. There is no entrance fee to visit the bee farm. There were honey bee boxes with bees buzzing around and various kinds of flowers.

Cactus Point | 1400PM

After lunch, we visit the place where we can buy many types of cactus, succulents and also other plants. The place has free entrance and easy parking. But sad to say they only accept payment in cash only. So prepare yourself with cash before going there if you plan on buying lots of plants.

Cameron Square | 1615PM

The last activity we went to on the 2nd day before going back to the guest house is Cameron Square. One of the hangout ports in Cameron Highland. It has free parking and easy to find places to eat. There are some drawbacks. It has no ATM in the mall, limited parking and spaces. We find common stores such as 7-11, Watson, Mr DIY, Domino Pizza and so on. Very good place to bring the kids to on the weekend. They have a kids parks area and kids clothes shops here.

DAY 3

Lavender Garden | 1000AM

On our last day, we went to the beautiful lavender garden which is located in Brinchang. We recommend visiting the garden for flower lovers and the entrance fees for an adult is RM15. We are very excited since there are so many colours and the flowers look fresh and heaven for us to take photos of. It tooks around 30 minutes to reach our guest house. It was quite easy to find a parking spot since it is a weekday. We bought the ice-cream that they sell there and the taste is not so bad.

Grape And Tomato Farm Cameron Highland | 1200PM

After that, we visited a grape and tomato farm located in Tanah Rata and tooks around 15 minutes to arrive from the lavender garden. Grape and tomato lovers must visit as it is a very huge farm nestled on 60 hectares of land. The owners are gracious enough to let all tourists take a brief walk of their well-kept farm, which contains grapes, tomatoes, and other local veggies, without charging an admission charge.

Avant Chocolate Cameron Highlands And Greenview Hills | 1400PM

Next, it tooks 10 minutes to arrive from the grape and tomato farm. This place is a must go place when visiting Cameron Highlands. With free entrance and dining available, lots of flowers and animals to see, we spent a couple hours here. Other than a place to shop for tea and chocolate, this place offers dine-in for cakes, beverages and ice cream. The outdoor dine in place is nice. There is a public toilet and we did some activities here like feeding the animals inside their mini farm.

Cameron Adventurous Atv & Safari | 1700PM

Last but not least, we visited a place to get some adventurous moments. It tooks around 15 minutes to arrive from the last place we visited. This place is a real adventure. We tried the safari ride & it's awesome also not to forget to mention the route to the highest station is smooth. But it's a good adventure route when we go down, back to the starting point
